From The Historian – February 2011

Brethren,

As I have been going through the lodge minutes, I keep seeing references to reports on the lodge’s “Masonic Blood Bank”. Typical reports mention things such as who in the lodge donated blood to it, and reports that we were “overdrawn”. Most of the reports that I’m seeing are in minutes from the 1960’s and 1970’s (possibly into the 1980’s; I can’t quite remember). If any lodge members who were active during this time knows how this “Masonic Blood Bank” worked, I would appreciate an email or call, so that I can find out more about it, and report on it.

I only found two noteworthy items from past Februarys. Read on!
