Masons of California recognize the importance of public education and child literacy. For this reason, Masons of California declared April as the Annual Public School Month. In order to support our public schools and make the difference for public education, California Masons are currently supporting two crucial state-wide education initiatives: Raising A Reader Literacy partnership, California Masons are bringing an award-winning literacy program to hundreds of at-risk kindergarten classrooms and Investing in Success Scholarship program, the fraternity is giving deserving high school seniors a chance to attain a college education.
Our Grand Master Project in partnership with Raising A Reader, can reestablish us in the public eye as a statewide champion of public schools as well as focus our resources on one critical area of need, namely: child literacy.
